Consenso Global is a certified language service provider (ISO 17100, ISO 18587, ISO 9001, ISO 27001). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what data we collect on our website, why, how we use it, how we protect it, and what your rights are under the GDPR.

We will not sell or share your information for marketing purposes with other companies.

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese law.

We may update this policy from time to time; any changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, notified by email.

How do we collect information?

• Directly from you: when you submit forms (e.g., “Contact us”, quote requests) or email us.

• Automatically: via essential technical logs and cookies when you browse our site. Non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics) only run with your consent.

What data do we collect and how do we use it?

Contact data (name, email, phone, company, message) – to respond to your enquiries, provide proposals, and manage our relationship.

Technical data (IP address in truncated/shortened form, browser, device, pages visited, timestamps) – to keep the site secure, reliable and improve performance.

Cookies/online identifiers – to operate the site (necessary cookies) and, with consent, measure usage (analytics) or remember preferences (functional).

We use this data to: operate and secure the website, respond to requests, improve content and usability, and keep records required by law.

Legal bases for processing (GDPR Art. 6)

Contract/Pre-contract (art. 6(1)(b)): responding to your requests.

Legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)): invoicing/record retention when applicable.

Legitimate interests (art. 6(1)(f)): site security, service improvement, aggregated metrics (balanced against your rights).

Consent (art. 6(1)(a)): non-essential cookies/analytics and any optional communications.

Cookies and choices

We use a cookie banner that lets you Accept all, Reject all, or Customize categories. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie Settings in the footer.

Examples

Necessary: viewed_cookie_policy (remembers your cookie choice), _GRECAPTCHA (protects forms).

Functional: pll_language (remembers language).

Analytics (consent-based): _ga, _gid, _gat (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization/Consent Mode).

reCAPTCHA (spam protection)

We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms from abuse. It processes limited technical data to distinguish humans from bots. We rely on legitimate interests to ensure security.

Where do we store data and who can access it?

Data is stored on secure infrastructure and processed by Consenso Global employees on a need-to-know basis. Trusted service providers (hosting, maintenance, security, analytics, CRM/accounting) may process data as processors under GDPR-compliant contracts (Art. 28). We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers (e.g., Google) may process data outside the EEA. We use recognized safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46).

How long do we keep your data?

Contact/enquiry data: up to 12 months after the last meaningful interaction.

Contract/billing data (when applicable): up to 10 years (legal requirements).

Security logs: up to 12 months.

Cookies: session to 24 months, depending on type (see Cookie Settings).

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures (TLS/HTTPS, access controls, backups, activity logs) aligned with good practices and our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object (including to direct marketing), data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (when processing is based on consent). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
